Meet
Dr. Jason P. Jones
Dr. Jones was born and raised here in west Texas. He is a Permian High and University of Texas of the Permian Basin alumni. He then graduated from UT Health San Antonio Dental School with a distinction in research and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He then graduated from UT Health San Antonio School of Medicine and then completed his general surgery internship followed by his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency, all in San Antonio.
Dr. Jones is compassionate about the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, recently becoming board certified in his specialty. He has also published numerous scientific articles in the field that have been regionally and nationally recognized. His main goal when seeing patients is treating people like they were a member of his family, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable when they interact with him. His clinical interests are dentoalveolar surgery, dental implantology, advanced bone reconstruction, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, temporomandibular joint rehabilitation and reconstruction and traumatic facial injury repair.
Personal Information
In addition to his surgical practice in our office, Dr. Jones takes facial trauma call treating those who have had extensive facial injuries in Odessa at Medical Center Hospital and in Midland at Midland Memorial Hospital. He also serves on the board of the Medical Center Hospital Foundation and is the President of the Permian Basin District Dental Society. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association, Texas Dental Association, and American College of Surgery.
Outside of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Jones finds strength in going to church and finds peace and gratitude spending time with his wife, Izbel, his three sons, Daniel, David, and Samuel and his twin daughters, Mila and Sofia. Dr. Jones is excited to be back home in Midland/Odessa, Texas and in serving and being a part of the community where he grew up.
